Prelude To Movie

EPISODE II: Delta

The story takes place right after the events of Prelude To Movie EPISODE I.

Akira and Makoto were laying on a grassy field with an alien beast licking Akira’s face with sticky siliva covering him.

“Oh god.” Akira groaned rolling away from it.

Makoto stretched opening her eyes weakly and covering her eyes to avoid the sunlight.

“Well, I think it worked.” Makoto said.

Akira rubbed his face in the grass and shooed the beast away.

“Where do you think we are?” Akira asked.

Makoto and Akira sat up looking around.

“Judging by the look of the land? No clue but it’s habitable so there must be civilization here.” Makoto said.

The two stood up and headed off toward the west, they traveled for two hours until they found an outpost nearby.

“Oh thank god, it looks like there is a landing platform which means we might be at our right time.” Akira said.

“Look, there’s a ship landing! A spaceship!” Makoto shouted.

The two ran and hollered.

“Hey! Hey!” Akira shouted.

A group of militia walked out of the spaceship to pick up two prisoners, the two prisoners being Ryu and Kiyoko of the Boshoku clan that was recently defeated.

“Luitenant Grenn wants them up at C-sec headquarters.” A militiaman said to the group.

“Hey!” Akira called out.

The militia looked back to see the two running up and aimed their rifles at them.

“Woah wait, we are friendly!” Makoto said.

“Names?” A militiaman asked.

“Makoto and this is Akira. We need to speak to someone of authority, it’s an emergency.” Makoto said.

“We are heading up to the citadel so you can come with us I suppose.” The militiaman said.

“Oh thank you!” Akira said.

Akira hugged the man which made everyone look at them with a sweatdrop.

“Akira.” Makoto said.

“Right sorry- no homo! no homo heh, no homo.” Akira said.

The militiaman dusted himself off and walked into the spaceship with everyone else following.

Akira and Makoto looked at the two handcuffed and looked at one another.

“They were part of the criminal organization called, Boshoku. It seems the Alliance did us a huge favor by destroying almost all of them. These two surrendered peacefully so the Luitenant wanted to speak to them. We will take you to him as well.” The militiaman said.

“Sounds good.” Akira said.

“Do you know what planet we are on?” Makoto asked the man.

“You’re on Telos.” The militiaman said.

“Akira, we ended up on Telos. I thought it would of taken us to Horizon.” Makoto said.

“Well, we can still head back to the Federation.” Akira said.

The group of militia and Ryu and Kiyoko were confused listening to them talk.

“They must have been stranded for quite some time that they got confused.” A militiaman whispered.

Kiyoko noticed their crossbows.

“Are you two using primitive weapons?” Kiyoko asked.

“We should probably exchange these for blasters.” Mikoto said.

“I don’t think anyone wants to exchange something effective for something less effective.” A militiaman said.

The shuttle zoomed into orbit and through the traffic to reach C-sec.

“Woah, this place is busy.” Akira said.

“Usually is, especially now because refugees want to get away from the upcoming war.” The militiamen said.

“Oh yeah! The invasion!” Akira said.

“Uh, right?” The militiamen said cocking an eyebrow.

The shuttle landed inside of a hanger and the militia escorted the group to Luitenant Grenn’s office.

“Who are these two?” Luitenant Grenn asked pointing to Akira and Makoto.

“Offworlders seeking passage to Coruscant.” The militiaman said.

“Alright, I will be with you two in a moment.” Grenn said.

Grenn spoke to Ryu and Kiyoko while Akira and Makoto stood out of the room waiting.

They noticed the door to the office open and walking in was Serenity and Mangle.

“Sup son.” Mangle said looking at Akira and Makoto before looking to Grenn.

“I see you picked up these two.” Serenity said looking over at Ryu and Kiyoko.

“We are discussing what we do with them. They are being compliant and are willing to make up for their crimes.” Grenn said.

“Thank you both.” Serenity said to them.

“No problem.” Ryu said.

Kiyoko gave a toothy grin and a wink.

“Well, our security camera’s never seen you two do anything on our station and Serenity vouches for you two so, you will be granted freedom but it’s probably best you leave Telos.” Grenn said.

“You’re letting us go?” Ryu asked.

“Yes. Be glad that Serenity here put a good word in for you two.” Grenn said.

Serenity looked over to Akira and Makoto.

“Hey.” Serenity said.

“Hey.” Akira and Makoto replied.

“Say, do you know if there is a shuttle leaving for Coruscant? I think we should probably hurry before the invasion.” Akira said.

“Invasion?” Serenity asked.

“Invasion!?” Grenn asked.

Ryu and Kiyoko cocked their eyebrows and Mangle was nearby snooping through Grenn’s drawers while Grenn wasn’t noticing.

“Yeah, the Aparoid invasion.” Makoto said.

“What is an Aparoid?” Grenn asked.

“You’re joking, right? The Federation didn’t tell you guys yet?” Makoto asked.

“What’s a Federation!?” Grenn asked.

“The Federation that runs the entire galaxy, you idiot!” Akira and Makoto shouted at the same time.

Everyone’s mouths were slightly dropped with cocked eyebrows.

“You guys must be fucked up on something good.” Mangle said.

“What year is this?” Akira asked.

“Two thousand one hundred and eighty-six AD.” Grenn said.

“Oh no, oh no.” Akira said falling onto his butt gripping his head.

Makoto turned around banging her head on the wall.

“Son of a bitch!” Makoto shouted.

Everyone else in the room looked at them confused.

“You know, how about I take these two out to get something to eat and drink, they might be hungry.” Serenity said.

“Agreed.” Grenn said.

“Can we come too, pweese.” Kiyoko said batting her eyelashes leaning up to Serenity’s face.

“S-sure?” Serenity said.

Kiyoko jumped and snuggled up to Ryu who just sighed with a bored expression.

Akira and Makoto followed looking defeated.

Grenn sighed watching them leave and turned his head looking at Mangle.

“Are you done stealing from me?” Grenn asked.

Mangle stopped and looked at him and dropped everything before running off to join the group.

Meanwhile on the planet Horizon…

There were burning buildings in a small colony town with glowing cannonballs not only hitting the buildings but strong enough to pierce through them and go into another building before exploding, sending burning cinders out to scorch what was left.

There were six floating airships in the sky nearby shooting down an Alliance cruiser with the same cannon fire.

On the ground, citizens ran away screaming with clunking steampunk style robots marching through the burning colony and shooting at citizens with smaller cannon guns attached to their arms.

Standing on one of the airships was Lord Shen who was smiling seeing the devastation from a distance.

Behind him, a female Lombax walked out to see the destruction.

“It seems the weapons are beyond expectation.” Lord Shen said.

“Our workers put all of our efforts into it for you. Ever since we met you a year ago, we knew you would lead us to victory.” The female Lombax said.

“Indeed your people did, and for that, you have my praise, Mallet.” Lord Shen said.

“Also we learned that there was eight failed Gorgon’s placed into cryogenic freezing by the Illusive Man. We were able to retrieve coordinates for four of them.” Mallet said handing him the datapad.

“Excellent, I wonder if those experiments are as strong as the Illusive Man makes them out to be. Tell me, did the scouts learn anything else?” Shen asked.

“Our scouts learned of some commotion that recently went on at Telos. Should we send the scouts over there to see if there is any metal for the taking?” Mallet asked.

“I suppose, we could use more weapons. Tell them to find out where the commotion was and to hurry up before the officials on that planet arrive.” Lord Shen said.

Mallet typed on her omni-tool and sent the orders.

“What happens after we take down every Alliance Colony on the planet?” Mallet asked.

Lord Shen’s eyes narrowed and brought out a scroll looking at it.

The scroll had the image of the Sphere on it with different types of words on it of possible locations to find it.

“Have your people studied the star charts as I asked?” Lord Shen asked.

“Yeah…?” Mallet asked.

“Tell them to return to me, I wish to know if they found anything interesting.” Lord Shen said.

“Right away but, you didn’t answer my question. What happens after we take down the Alliance Colonies on the planet?” Mallet asked.

Lord Shen’s eyes narrowed as he looked out.

“Godhood.” Lord Shen said.

They watched as the remaining buildings burned to ashes and the remaining citizens out of view as they ran to the distance.

A few hours later, in a small cafe on the Citadel, Serenity was treating Akira, Makoto, Mangle, Ryu, and Kiyoko to refreshments.

Akira walked out of the bathroom and passed some patrons and his shoulder accidentally knocked into a man’s.

“Sorry.” Akira said looking at the man.

The man was the green-haired man who gave him a smile.

Akira made a double-take but the green-haired man was gone.

“I must be hallucinating.” Akira said to himself.

Mangle was talking to the bartender.

“You like nuts?” Mangle asked.

“Depends on the kind.” The man said.

“So you like nuts then?” Mangle asked.

“Yeah, why?” The man asked.

“Mmm just love to swirl em in your mouth don’t you, you naughty boy you.” Mangle said with a deep voice narrowing her eyes with a grin.

The man looked scared.

“Mangle, leave the poor man alone and sit down with us!” Serenity shouted.

Mangle walked backward while facing the man before turning around and sitting down at the booth.

“Don’t bloody do that again.” Serenity said.

“Don’t tell me what to do.” Mangle said.

Akira and Makoto looked unamused.

“Is she your girlfriend?” Makoto asked.

“Fuck no!” Both of them said at the same time.

“She’s my sister.” Serenity said.

“Her annoying sister I take it.” Ryu said.

“So, what’s you two’s story?” Mangle asked Akira and Makoto.

“Well… it’s kind of hard to explain.” Akira said.

“Oh, it’s a marriage thing.” Mangle said.

Both Akira and Makoto blushed.

“It is not a marriage thing!” Akira said.

“We are not even married yet!” Makoto said.

“Yeah, we- wait yet?” Akira asked.

Makoto looked away hiding her face while Akira put his head on the table.

“I thought I was weird.” Kiyoko said.

“Listen, we just need to return to our planet and time.” Akira said.

“Planet and time huh?” Serenity asked amused thinking it was a joke.

“Yes, we need to get back to either Palaven or Coruscant and relay the news that we lost the orb and there is some sort of Aparoid invasion and some deep dark evil guy in the vacuum of space is planning not just a galactic invasion, but a universal invasion.” Akira said.

They looked at him with confused looks on their faces.

“Have you drunk anything weird today?” Ryu asked.

“We are not crazy! Before this, we came from the past, and through a time machine, and here we are.” Akira said.

“That and we faced off against a talking Peacock around Dwarves and Goblins, which I thought were extinct. Oh god, what if that Peacock is here.” Makoto said.

“Well, there is no chaos here so I think we’re safe.” Akira said.

They turned their heads to see Serenity with a half dropped mouth with her eyebrows raised, Ryu with a bored but curious expression, Kiyoko sipping her drink while looking at them and Mangle with a cocked eyebrow.

“Sooooo, I think we should probably get back to the apartment before I burst out laughing.” Mangle said.

Suddenly Grenn ran up to them.

“Serenity, our retrieval team hasn’t responded to our communications since they landed at the Boshoku’s former base. Something went wrong.” Grenn said.

“Strange, there shouldn’t be any traps.” Ryu said.

“Something happened.” Grenn said.

Serenity looked at Ryu and Kiyoko.

“Mind if you two tag along so we can see what’s up?” Serenity asked.

“Might as well, this is interesting.” Kiyoko said forcing Ryu up to his feet.

“You two come with us.” Serenity said to Akira and Makoto.

“Really?” Makoto asked.

“Yeah, I sort of need to keep an eye on you two so you don’t scare away anyone.” Serenity said.

Akira and Makoto glared at her.

“Good that’s settled, let’s go.” Serenity said.

A couple of hours later, the Alliance shuttle landed and the six left it and headed to the blasted front door of the Boshoku base.

“I see a few dead bodies.” Makoto said.

There were four dead bodies lying in the snow in front of the blown entrance.

“Keep your eyes peeled.” Serenity said.

Serenity aimed her rifle in first before turning around with Mangle facing opposite directions and then forward.

“Clear on our right and left.” Serenity said.

Ryu and Kiyoko walked in next and Ryu typed on a console.

“What are you doing?” Serenity asked.

“Checking for recent logs being open, that’s odd… there is a log open about the time stone Yoshimitsu used.” Ryu said.

“Did you guys retrieve the time stone?” Kiyoko asked.

“Damn, no we didn’t.” Serenity said.

“We need to head to the main chamber now then, come on.” Ryu said.

The group ran through the hallway while passing two more dead bodies and then they found six Lombax’s with blasters drawn and firing at them from the main chamber.

“We got- what are those things?” Serenity asked.

“I never saw species like that!” Ryu called out through the blaster fire.

Akira and Makoto walked past them and took aim firing at the Lombax’ killing all six immediately with perfect headshots.

Mangle puffed her cheeks getting angry.

“Woah.” Serenity said.

“Target practice at the investigation academy.” Makoto told them.

“I hate them already.” Mangle said.

They heard an explosion on the far side and they ran across the main chambers to see a strange-looking space shuttle hovering over while two Lombax’s were jumping inside with some metal scrap and the time stone.

“Oh shit, they have it!” Ryu shouted.

Akira shot the two Lombax’s while they was in the shuttle and the shuttle immediately turned around with its engines burning out which blasted Akira back.

Ryu threw a small device at the shuttle which attached and the shuttle immediately headed off into the sky and into space.

“You okay?” Makoto asked helping Akira up.

“Yeah.” Akira said as he was covered in black smoke.

“What did you throw on it?” Serenity asked Ryu.

“A tracking device.” Ryu said.

“You guys may want to come over here!” Kiyoko shouted.

Kiyoko and Mangle were standing over a dead Lombax and were looking it over.

“What species is that?” Serenity asked.

“One not listed in the galactic community, it’s an unknown but armored with a small blaster rifle.” Mangle said.

Ryu’s holocom beeped and he took a look at it.

“It seems they launched into hyperspeed.” Ryu said.

“Keep your eye on your device to see where they end up.” Serenity said.

“We going to get them?” Mangle asked.

“They have a powerful stone, I think we should.” Ryu said.

“I agree, we have to stop them.” Serenity said.

“Just curious, what does this stone do?” Makoto asked.

“We used it to speed up a process to bring the great Malgus back to help us in our global domination of the planet.” Ryu said.

“So it is fast?” Makoto asked.

“It’s a time stone, you can go forward and back with it so to speak, but it has its limits.” Ryu said.

“I’m unlimited!” Kiyoko chirped while jumping up and down.

Ryu just sighed.

“So we can use it to go into the future!” Akira asked running up to Ryu’s face.

“Uhh…” Ryu said leaning back.

“Maybe? Yoshimitsu didn’t test its full capabilities.” Kiyoko said.

“Akira, this could be our only chance. We need to find that stone.” Makoto said.

Akira nodded and they looked at Serenity.

“We want to come.” Akira said.

Serenity pinched the bridge of her nose.

“If you two really are from the past or future or whatever, then fine.” Serenity said.

Akira and Makoto hugged her and she had a deadpan stare.

“Yeah yeah okay get off.” Serenity said.

“Sorry.” Akira said.

Ryu’s holocom beeped again and he took a look at it.

“They left hyperspeed over Horizon.” Ryu said.

“Then that’s where we go, come on guy’s let us get going.” Serenity said.

Meanwhile at Horizon…

Lord Shen was walking on a catwalk overlooking the Lombax workers below.

“Lord Shen!” Mallet called out running up to him.

“What is it?” Lord Shen asked while he kept looking at the workers.

“The shuttle returned with scrap but the pilot said that the workers were shot by some individuals.” Mallet said.

“Sacrifices must be made.” Lord Shen said.

“Well, I guess but…” Mallet said.

“Was there anything else?” Lord Shen asked.

“This was amongst the scrap.” Mallet said holding up the time stone.

Lord Shen glanced at it and took it looking it over.

“This isn’t the sphere I’m looking for but this seems it has a power property to it.” Lord Shen said.

“So what do you want us to do now?” Mallet asked.

Lord Shen walked over picking up an omni-tool.

“I will see what this stone can do while you help the workers unload the scrap to the furnaces.” Lord Shen said.

Lord Shen walked off while Mallet ran off the other way.

An Alliance Cruiser left hyperspeed and a shuttle headed out of its hanger and down to the planet Horizon.

“So we are to go down and investigate the situation?” Ryu asked.

“I guess a few human colonies went silent in the last twenty-four hours. The Alliance is struggling against Cerberus so we are the only ones to investigate for now.” Serenity said.

“Cerberus?” Akira asked.

“An enemy faction- wow you must be from the future- or past.” Serenity said.

“I’m starting to get the feeling your joke isn’t a joke anymore.” Mangle said.

“It never was.” Makoto said.

“Well, when we get this settled we can then discuss how we can help you guys.” Serenity said.

“We are approaching the landing site!” The pilot called out.

Everyone drew their weapons and opened the shuttle door leaping out while the shuttle was hovering over the landing pad.

Akira and Makoto just looked on as Serenity looked around.

“Okay so- are you two going to jump?” Serenity asked.

“Can you lower it down a bit?” Akira asked the pilot.

The pilot sighed and landed it.

“They really can’t handle a jump?” Kiyoko whispered to Ryu.

Ryu just shrugged.

The group walked into the small town and looked around with their weapons drawn.

“Dude, look at all these chunks of homes destroyed and bodies around.” Mangle said.

“This home has a hole that went through it, and into two other homes.” Ryu said.

They looked at the huge hole through the three buildings and the incinerated debris still burning.

“Wait a minute, we have seen this before.” Akira said.

“You did?” Serenity asked.

“Yeah, we saw a weapon do the same thing but on a lesser scale.” Akira said.

“Akira… do you think…” Makoto said.

Akira and Makoto looked at one another and then to the group.

“We need to find him.” Akira said.

“Am I missing something?” Mangle asked.

“We have to find Shen, his name is Lord Shen.” Akira said.

Ryu took a look at his holocom.

“The tracker is still working, I got a location due south of here.” Ryu said.

“What is going on?” Serenity asked.

“The Peacock we told you about, he did this. He went into the same time portal we did. He must have came here at an earlier date and he’s got probably a lot of these weapons made and operational.” Akira said.

“I don’t think he probably does, I think he in fact does.” Makoto said pointing at the wreckage.

“We need to head south and stop him.” Serenity said.

Serenity walked over to contact the pilot while the others took a quick look around once more.

Meanwhile…

Shen was looking at the time stone in his hand while looking at different star charts of observations of any strange orb sightings.

Mallet walked in.

“The airships are ready to launch.” Mallet said.

“Excellent, this raid will be our last on the planet.” Shen said.

“The last?” Mallet asked.

“Yes.” Shen said closing up some of the charts.

“What will we attack next?” Mallet asked.

“Something on a grander scale, and then I will have the blessing I need.” Shen said.

“Blessing?” Mallet asked.

“Yes, the blessing of Armadyl, the god that my race entrusts in. Though he is long dead, one must take the place of said god, and I want to sit upon the vacant throne. It is mine by right.” Shen said.

Mallet tilted her head and Shen turned his head to see her confusion.

“Let me make it simple for you. I told you where I came from, yes?” Shen asked.

“From a planet called Gielinor?” Mallet asked.

“Indeed, and before that, I was born on the Aviansie homeworld. I managed to get out before the planet and our god fell due to much-wanting chaos rather than justice. Armadyl was too soft on the other races which sickened me, because his love for other races is what caused our doom, our people rebelled against the new rule and in turn, he fought back and his power split the planet, and our race except for one who was strong enough to get away in time but land in the aether to a new world, Gielinor.” Shen said.

“Was that one person you?” Mallet asked.

Shen rolled his eyes.

“I’m the only Aviansie you see yes?” Shen said.

“Just making sure.” Mallet said.

“Thus it is up to me to avenge our people, to do what Armadyl didn’t… and I will make it right.” Shen said.

“So he was a god of peace?” Mallet asked.

“Yes, but he got too soft on lesser races and they became his priority other than us, his own race. We grew jealous and for good reason. We decided to overthrow him and during our war with him, we destroyed ourselves along with him. He deserved death, and with his blessings of power, I will rule.” Shen said.

Shen took a look at the time stone and his eyes narrowed.

“I need to find something that is identified as a Sphere or a Crystalline. I suppose this stone here could help me in some way but I need to know more.” Shen said.

Shen opened two small portals with the time stone and looked through them.

“Sooo…” Mallet said.

“Get everyone ready for the last raid, I will be out in a moment. I want to check something with the time stone of any important event, if the Sphere is apart of it, I can easily track it at another time.” Shen said.

Mallet bowed and walked off leaving Shen there looking through the two portals with a narrowed gaze of anger.

“The godly throne will be mine.” Shen said forebodingly.

Meanwhile, the shuttle was heading toward Shen’s location and they saw a dark factory in the distance.

“That’s the location.” Ryu said.

“Pilot, drop us on the roof!” Serenity shouted to him.

“And you two are going to jump with us.” Kiyoko said to Akira and Makoto.

“Can the pilot lower down a bit more than he did before?” Akira asked.

Kiyoko just grinned.

Right as the shuttle flew by, Kiyoko shoved both of them out first while she jumped behind them and they safely dropped on the roof.

“That was thrilling!” Akira said.

“Next time we will test you out on a second-floor height.” Kiyoko said.

“No.” Makoto said.

“Alright let’s go.” Serenity said.

The group proceeded slowly across the roof toward one of the roof maintenance doors.

“Why can’t we just use detonators?” Mangle asked.

“Because we are out of them.” Serenity said.

“Who used them up?” Mangle asked.

“You did.” Serenity said.

“Oh yeah… You sure?” Mangle asked.

“Pretty sure.” Serenity said.

“Are you sure sure or peeerrrrtttyyyyy sure. Because theirs a difference.” Mangle said.

“I’m sure sure.” Serenity said sternly.

“If we split up, I’m going with the green-haired chick.” Makoto said.

“It’s Serenity.” Serenity said.

Serenity activated her lightsaber and cut through the door and they entered in slowly.

“No alarms went off, keep quiet.” Makoto said.

The group walked slowly through the maintenance halls and then they felt a strange rumble.

“Must be the machines.” Serenity whispered.

“I don’t know, that felt different.” Akira said.

Serenity used her lightsaber again and cut through another door and opened it.

“Okay so-” Serenity began to say till looking around.

They was in a large hanger with airships already lifting up and leaving.

“That’s a lot of ships.” Mangle said.

“They got oxygen tanks to stay in the air, they are using some strange steampunk technology.” Serenity said.

“So that’s what it was they was using!” Akira shouted.

They all grabbed him and quickly went behind some crates.

“Will you shut up!” Mangle yelled.

“Mangle!” Serenity shouted.

“Both of you yelling is going to give away our location!” Makoto shouted.

“Oh god…” Ryu mumbled.

“I’m yelling!” Kiyoko shouted jumping.

Ryu just facepalmed.

Suddenly they heard a loud opening of the iron floor and a larger airship was lifting out of it.

“I don’t even think they could hear us.” Mangle said.

“I think their workers are on those ships, I don’t see any patrols or engineers around here.” Ryu said.

“Come on we got to get in that thing.” Serenity said.

They all ran and grabbed onto some railings on the side of the giant airship as it was lifting up and they quickly went inside of an open vent and crawled inside to enter one of the mechanical areas with some cogs spinning around.

“This is steampunk technology alright.” Serenity said looking at it.

“I thought this stuff was myth.” Mangle said.

“So did we till yesterday.” Akira said.

“Or we should say a thousand years ago or something.” Makoto said.

“Let’s just blow this place up.” Mangle said.

“If we do that, we go down with the ship.” Serenity said.

“So?” Mangle asked blinking.

Serenity facepalmed.

“Come on everyone, let’s stop this tyranny.” Serenity said.

A few Lombax workers were rolling some cannonballs by until Mangle jumped out and shot both of their heads off and ran out laughing while spraying bullets at a few others.

“I thought you said we was going in quiet!” Makoto called out to Serenity.

Serenity sliced down an incoming Lombax.

“Yeah well, tell that to the little migraine that wanted to go on a killing spree!” Serenity shouted referring to Mangle.

All of them ran to catch up with Mangle and they sliced down incoming Lombax workers.

“This way!” Makoto called out.

They ran up the stairs and outside on the deck of the airship.

They saw more Lombax workers running their way but they suddenly stopped.

Mangle aimed her minigun at them.

“Let’s do this!” Mangle shouted.

Two blades were shot at from above Mangle but she heard the whistling of the steel and ran back in time before they pierced the wood floor.

Leaping down behind the group was Lord Shen.

“Greetings, humans, we meet- you two!?” Lord Shen said looking at Akira and Makoto.

“A talking peacock.” Ryu mumbled.

“Holy crap, he knows them which means they were telling the truth.” Mangle said.

“I won the bet.” Kiyoko said.

“Bet?” Akira asked.

“I knew you weren’t that crazy.” Kiyoko said.

“Excuse me, but we are having a discussion here.” Lord Shen said.

Lord Shen walked toward Shen and Makoto while the Lombax’ aimed blasters at everyone else.

Mallet walked upholding her double-edged hammer and glared at Mangle.

“I suppose you two took the time machine. Yet why come to me exactly?” Lord Shen asked.

“We weren’t coming here to see you, we didn’t even mean to come to this timeline.” Akira said.

“We just want to return to our own timeline in the year three thousand and one.” Makoto said.

“We need to find an orb that got out of our hands somewhere between Palaven and Coruscant and we ended up in the dark vacuum up space which was scary as hell-” Akira began to say.

“An orb?” Lord Shen asked.

“Yes. I know this is going to sound crazy but-” Akira began to say.

“Say no more, human.” Lord Shen said.

“Will you let all of us go?” Makoto asked.

“I could, but where is the fun in that? You gave me all I needed in fact.” Lord Shen said.

“Huh?” Akira asked.

“Kill them.” Shen said.

“You think murder is going to solve all your problems?” Makoto asked.

Shen frowned.

“Murder is the one thing that made me happy. In fact, the first two people I killed were my parents, to kill them was not just a mental challenge but also a relief.” Shen said.

“Relief?” Akira asked.

“When you’re born with Leucism in my race you are considered ill, but I pushed aside my illness and became a tyrant and the last of my race. Armadyl wronged us, my parents wronged me, and I will make it right.” Shen said.

Shen pointed at them.

“Kill them.” Shen said

The Lombax’ aimed their guns.

Serenity held her lightsaber in a defense form.

Suddenly an airship nearby was shot down by some laser fire and coming from the left were two Alliance cruisers along with a few Azure cruisers and Crimson Cruisers with them.

Smaller transport shuttles flew by dropping down some laser fire.

“Shoot them down!” Lord Shen shouted.

Mangle took this opportunity and riddled Mallet with bullets before shooting down some gunners.

“We don’t have much time, take this thing down!” Serenity called out.

Lord Shen’s eyes narrowed and he flew up and landed in front of Serenity with his lance dropping down on her lightsaber.

Serenity clashed with him and to her surprise he opened his feathers in front of her face and then kicked her twice before lunging his blade at her and nearly striking through her stomach.

Serenity swung her blade down to try to cut his head off but he was quick enough to evade it and swing his metal clawed feet at her which deflected her lightsaber away and he spun around throwing two blades out of his robe sleeve at her which she used the force to push them away quickly.

Akira aimed his blaster and shot at Shen who twirled his lance deflecting the shot and then deflecting Serenity’s strikes before countering and managing to land a slashing blow across her shoulder making her yip in pain and stagger back.

Shen leaped out at Serenity aiming his lance at her stomach but he was kicked away by Makoto who ran at him and tried to shoot him at close range but he managed to evade both shots and throw a blade out knocking her gun out of her hand.

Akira shot rapidly at Shen who blocked the bolts with his lance spinning around and landing a strike down across Akira’s chest.

Akira fell into Makoto’s arms and she quickly threw him back before managing to kick her heel against Shen’s blade to knock it away and quickly grabbing Akira’s blaster and shot both of them at him while he was quickly deflecting the bolts and throwing a blade at Makoto who held the blasters down to block the attack which was successful but with a cost that the blade went through both blasters.

Shen leaped at Akira and Makoto but his lance clashed against Ryu’s incoming greatsword and knocked him back.

Ryu summoned a water type jutsu around his blade and ran at Shen swinging his blade with a tide of water shooting out from the blade at Shen’s face knocking him away momentarily before swinging again but Shen was ready bringing out two blades from his robe and clashing against his greatsword before opening his tail feathers in front of Ryu’s face and then jabbing his stomach with his steel claws.

Ryu skidded back and ducked confusing Shen briefly until he noticed Kiyoko spinning in mid-air up and then down with her fingers extended out with claw chakra around them.

Shen blocked her incoming chakra claw strikes with one blade and jumped over her next attack before being kicked by Ryu in mid-air and knocking him back only to be force pushed by Serenity furthering his launch back.

Shen dug his steel claws into the floor of the ship to stop himself from going further back and he noticed his blades were broken.

“Show-offs.” Shen said with a grin of amusement.

Two more airships explode and begin to drop and one of them flew too close to the main airship and knocked into it making everyone stagger and lose their balance.

Shen managed to jump and fly onto the side of a railing.

“I guess it’s time to abandon ship.” Shen said.

Mangle aimed her gun but it was too late, Shen jumped and soared off.

“The ship is falling!” Akira called out.

As they were trying to figure out a way off, the shuttle flew in and opened.

They quickly jumped into it.

“Pilot, fly that way!” Serenity said pointing to the direction that Shen went to.

The shuttle flew toward that direction and they saw him.

“Open the shuttle door.” Serenity said.

Mangle aimed her minigun out as the shuttle door slid open.

Shen turned his head and frowned seeing the minigun.

Mangle began to shoot at him and he swiftly flew in a loop around the shuttle and attached his steel claws into the hull and walked toward the cockpit window breaking through it.

“Damn!” The pilot shouted.

Shen threw his blade right into the shuttle pilot’s throat and the shuttle began to spin around out of control.

Shen jumped off and flew off again.

“Hang on everyone!” Serenity said throwing the pilot out of the seat and taking control.

Serenity managed to raise the shuttle up before it skidded on the ground and crashed into a few bushes.

Akira woke up dizzy and noticed he was outside.

The shuttle was nearby with Makoto crawling out of it.

“Akira!” Makoto called out.

Shen’s steel talons pierced into Akira’s stomach as he stood on top of him.

“You are annoying me.” Shen said.

Shen got off Akira and walked past him while revealing the time stone.

“You foiled my plans but you gave me an opportunity.” Shen said.

“What are you doing?” Akira asked weakly.

“You told me what year you are from, and that you found this so-called orb or what people here call a crystalline. You did my work for me.” Shen said.

Shen gave him a grin and Akira held his fist up and then winced having to fall back down.

“You are playing with powers you don’t understand!” Akira said.

“You are the one who doesn’t understand. You are stopping me from fulfilling my destiny, well no longer.” Shen said.

Shen held the time stone out and focused his concentrations on where he wanted to go and the portal opened.

“Now, if you excuse me- oh! I have a gift for you, a parting gift.” Shen said.

Shen brought out a final hidden blade and threw it at Akira but it was deflected by Kiyoko with her chakra claws as she leaped down to protect him.

“Well, you are a spoiled sport.” Shen said.

Shen jumped back into the portal and the portal vanished, but the time stone remained, dropping to the ground with a silent ‘tick’.

Shen was inside a strange plain of aura and he looked at the charts in his robe of the orb and then looked at the datapad about the four experiments the Illusive Man found as failures and their location in cryogenic storage.

“I guess I have to be more ruthless.” Shen sighed.

Meanwhile…

Akira and Makoto were standing in a strange plain in an aura of sorts but different from the one Shen was in and it was passing them as they seemed to be heading toward a light at the far distance.

“What is this?” Akira asked.

“Maybe it’s teleporting us to the future?” Makoto suggested.

Akira sighed and tapped his foot at the nothingness.

Makoto looked at him and walked over to him putting her arms around him and nuzzling up against him.

Akira placed his hands around her and the two were silent in one another’s arms.

“I really need some sleep.” Akira said.

“How about we get some after we supposedly get back to the future.” Makoto said.

“Agreed.” Akira said.

Meanwhile…

Kiyoko knelt down picking up the time stone while Makoto put some omni-gel on Akira’s wound.

“You two need to return to your time and stop him.” Kiyoko said.

Kiyoko handed the time stone to Makoto.

“What about the others?” Makoto asked.

“They will be okay. Ryu is tending to them, they are just knocked out from the crash. You two need to hurry.” Kiyoko said.

Makoto nodded and held onto Akira.

Makoto focused on the stone and it created a portal.

“I’m thinking of Coruscant in our year.” Makoto said.

“Hurry in.” Kiyoko said.

“Thank you.” Akira said.

Kiyoko nodded to them.

Akira and Makoto walked inside of the portal and the time stone dropped again but this time it fell through a crack in the ground and into an under-water stream that would take it elsewhere on the planet.

“Well, there goes that.” Kiyoko said.

Ryu walked up.

“I saw them enter the portal, guess they are headed back to where they belong?” Ryu asked.

“Seems so. How are Serenity and Mangle?” Kiyoko asked.

“Serenity’s still knocked out and that Mangle is annoying as hell.” Ryu said.

Kiyoko grinned patting his cheek with a kiss on the lips.

“I’ll go entertain her for you.” Kiyoko said.

Ryu looked out into the horizon seeing the remaining Lombax fleet fall and explode on the ground.

Two Alliance shuttles were headed their way.

After a few minutes, Serenity walked up to Ryu who was still looking into the horizon.

“So where are you and Kiyoko going?” Serenity asked.

“We will return the favor and help you at Earth.” Ryu said.

“You don’t have too.” Serenity said.

“Okay good.” Ryu said.

Serenity sighed.

“Wow, I’m hurt.” Serenity said.

Ryu managed to crack a smile.

“Think those two made it safely to the future?” Serenity asked.

“Yeah, except that Peacock is there too.” Ryu said.

“I wonder what the purpose is though.” Serenity questioned.

“No clue other than something about an orb.” Ryu said.

Serenity’s eyebrows perked.

“What orb?” Serenity asked.

“No idea, why?” Ryu asked.

Serenity thought for a moment before shaking her head.

“Nothing, maybe it’s another orb.” Serenity said.

The two headed toward the landing shuttle while Kiyoko and Mangle were beating one another up for no apparent reason.
